Welcome to MutaSocial Account Deletion

At MutaSocial, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page provides clear instructions on how to request deletion of your account and all associated data from the MutaSocial app.

📋 How to Request Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your MutaSocial account and all associated data using one of the following methods:

Method 1: Through the App (Recommended)
  1. Log in to your MutaSocial account
  2. Navigate to Settings (⚙️ icon in the sidebar)
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the settings page
  4. Click on "Delete Account" or "Request Account Deletion"
  5. Confirm your deletion request
  6. Your account and all data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
Method 2: Via Email Request

If you cannot access your account or prefer to request deletion via email:

  1. Send an email to [email protected]
  2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
  3. Include your registered email address in the email
  4. We will verify your identity and process your deletion request within 7 business days

🗑️ What Data Will Be Deleted

When you request deletion of your MutaSocial account, the following data will be permanently removed:

  • Your user profile and account information
  • All financial data (assets, loans, income, expenses)
  • All scenarios and projections
  • AI chat history and conversations
  • Financial reports and audit data
  • Account settings and preferences
  • Subscription and payment history
  • Credit balance and usage logs
  • Referral codes and referral history
  • All other data associated with your account

⏱️ Data Retention and Deletion Timeline

After you request deletion of your MutaSocial account:

  • Immediate (Day 0): Your account will be deactivated and you will lose access to the MutaSocial app
  • Within 30 days: All data will be permanently deleted from our active servers
  • Backup retention (up to 90 days): Data may remain in encrypted backups for disaster recovery purposes, after which it will be permanently deleted

🔒 Data We Cannot Delete

Due to legal and regulatory requirements, MutaSocial may retain certain information:

  • Transaction records required for tax and accounting purposes (retained for 7 years as per Indian law)
  • Data required for legal compliance or dispute resolution
  • Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot be linked to your identity

Third-Party Data

If you signed up using Facebook or Google OAuth, you may also need to:

  • Revoke app permissions in your Facebook or Google account settings
  • Request data deletion from those platforms separately if desired

Important Notes

  • Irreversible: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
  • No refunds: Deleted accounts are not eligible for refunds of unused credits or subscriptions
  • Re-registration: You can create a new account with the same email after deletion, but all previous data will be lost
